For some reason that big puppy with feathers makes me feel nice.

I seriously can’t wait.

I mean it looks interesting enough, and the previous front missions were really good games; however, this looks like it has way more shooter than the previous games, and we all know how well (or how not well) Squenix does shooter. Dirge anyone?

So, after dragging ourselves to the midnight release, myself, rub3n, and zack2 decided to play a few matches before bedtime. I have to say that this is a game I actually couldn’t over-hype.
Having been a week since the demo ended, I thought for sure that I was hyping the game too much and that there was no way it could be quite as amazing as I made myself believe, but, yeah bro; DICE f-ing nailed it.
With the most realistic in game sound I’ve ever heard, and awe inspiring graphics, this game sets a very very very high bar of expectation for future online shooters. I honestly see this as a game that we’ll be playing for the next 2 years.

Pretty much what it says, errors are gone and everything works fine. Sucked for a day but it still beats a 56.4% failure rate.

So, if you have/are experiencing the 8001050f error, there is light at the end of the tunnel.
According to Sony this was caused by a glitch in the internal clock of the system, some bs about not properly implementing a leap year function…..Wtf ever. The fix to this madness is simple, turn off your ps3 for 24 hrs so the clock fixes itself and then you are set. Epic fail Sony, epic fail.

So, if you are like me and you have one of the pre-slim ps3s you probably can’t play any games right now because of the infamous error 8001050F.
When it first happened last night I googled it and the geneeral response was just to wait it out, it usually fixes itself; then, wow, everyone had it, and all of a sudden playstation announced a “scheduled” maintenence, yeah right.
I wake up this morning to check forums and such, and this thing is almost as big as 911, I guess it simultaneously hit everyone. I thought for sure that someone had hacked sony and f’d their stuff up, but it appears that something way way dumber happened. From what I read this morning, it is actually an error that occurs/occured while synching trophies, wtf. Also, this is so stupid, because there are a ton of offline games that can’t be played because they require trophy synch, like my GOW collection, or MW2, or Heavy Rain, or… pretty much any badass game put out in the last 14 months.
So, unfortunately I have to go to work or I would keep reading, but… it seems that it doesn’t affect the slims, which is completely insane, but w/e. If that is true, then I’ll have a slim tonight at midnight.
Are you guys experiencing this? Keep reading about it and keep posting, I’ll be checking this all day when I get a free couple minutes at work, so let me know what’s up.

Everyone knows that I am super hardcore retard mode when it comes to RPG’s, even more so when it is a Jp-style RPG, EVEN more so when it is a Squenix JRPG; However, I’m not sure I get what they are trying to do here.
First off the gameplay change, I fully understand that all gameplay needs to evolve, and moreso, re-evolve; if ffxiii was still using standard ff 1 combat and gameplay styles, it would be horrible. One of the things that Squenix has almost always been great at, is taking something that works, and improving it to make it work better, i.e. the combat system from ffx-2 to the total open world system of ffxi, then again in ffxii only improved and made even better; until finally you have the ffxiii system which is going to blow peoples minds once they try it.
My problem with this is, they (Squenix, Square Enix) are calling this an RPG, but it’s playing like a hack n slash. You have all the standard “leveling” components including experience, upgrades, additional purchases and unlockables yet you throw a new combat style in the mix. Again, I’m all for change but why fix something that isn’t broken, w/e.
Onto the next! Why are so many people having a baby over getting a M rating? Battlefield Bad Company 2 pushed so hard for an M rating, that they had to rely upon random, poorly dialogued curse phrases whenever you take an objective, or one of your objectives is about to get taken. It is almost as bad as watching a Samuel L movie, no kidding. Now Squenix is pushing so hard and trying to focus on the “M” rating for this game. If you have great gameplay, who cares what the rating is, why feel the need to “trash” a game up just to get a “more serious” rating?
If War, in Darksiders said poop, or crap, instead of hell or damn, I would laugh alot more but I would still think it’s one of the best games I’ve ever played. If he ripped people open and unicorns and carebears fell out instead of blood and guts, again; laughing would follow but I would still play the game because it’s amazing.
On the complete opposite side of that, I would NEVER play a game with poor gameplay or controls, simply because OMG IT’S A RATED M GAME.
Bottom line, Square Enix, dont break shit that’s working fine, just so can fix it.
Also, is it me, or does that trailer seem like, Final Fantasy meets old school DMC meets Nightmare before Christmas, wtf!
